May, 2010. Ultra beefy, 1.8 jiari nobekan, 40mm wide at the utaguchi. Harvested in Kumamoto, Japan, the bamboo had died in the ground creating very nice patterns and goma throughout. I began this one as a 2-piece with joint, but decided to play with cast a bore and fuse them together (sorry if your wrists still hurt from attempting to separate the halves, Tairaku!).
While the O.D. is quite large, the bore is standard sized. Weight is 500 grams! Interesting flute but nothing to write home about.
