It’s been a while since I’ve posted.  The past couple of years brought a detour into a major exploration of various Martin acoustic guitars.  I think that itch has been mostly scratched now (thank you, Custom Shop Adi 000-18!), and the bamboo sawdust is misting once again.  I started work on a really nice piece of 1.8 stock from the waning Tsurugi supply in Kumamoto a few weeks ago, and will be working on the bore over the coming weeks/months.  I’m using a very special gauge set for this one and hoping it turns out as envisioned.  Several more nice pieces await the “hatchet… axe… and saw,” as well.

It’s good to dust off the tools, refresh the neurons, and begin the transformation of a giant piece of raw, rigid grass into something sonically anew.  Fun!
